Atopémonos Bailando is a programme of artistic and research residencies co-organised by the dance company Colectivo Glovo and the Department of Culture, Tourism and Language of the City Council of Lugo, with the support of the Xunta de Galicia through Agadic, aimed at dance and movement arts creators from Galicia, the rest of Spain, Portugal and Costa Rica, and held at the MIHL Museum in the city of Lugo.

Since 2023, five artistic institutions have been collaborating in the programme, enabling exchanges between Spain, Portugal and Costa Rica: AMAS - AUDITÓRIO MUNICIPAL ANTÓNIO SILVA theatre in Portugal, Teatro Experimental Flaviense in Portugal: CINE-TEATRO BENTO MARTINS, 32nd Quinzena de Dança de Almada in Portugal: INTERNATIONAL DANCE FESTIVAL, Sede SóLODOS Costa Rica and Taller Nacional de Danza de Costa Rica, as a result of the interest in creating cross-border networks with other entities and broadening the scope of the programme.

  • To promote and support creation and research in dance and movement arts by Galician, national and international companies, providing a space for creation and research residencies, with special attention to Galician creators.

  • To disseminate and bring the processes of creation in dance and the arts of movement closer to the public by opening up the processes in a diverse, international, committed and free programme.

  • To create a space for training and practice in dance and movement arts by means of specialised workshops for the general public and/or professional audiences.

  • To generate collaboration and networking between national and international professional agents through the exchange of artists and company information.

The dance company Colectivo Glovo, formed by Esther Latorre (Galicia) and Hugo Pereira (Porto), is the manager of the artistic residency and research programme Atopémonos Bailando.

Based in Galicia, they work in the creation of the stage for theatre, street and non-conventional spaces, as well as cultural managers, since one of their main objectives as a company is to increase the scope of the dynamics of the body and generate networks between artists, entities and citizens.
